Call me an Angel

by The Angel of Secrets   May 29, 2008

You used to call me an angel, with flowing blond hair,
An angel of love, embraces and care.
But loving isn't easy when you're not around,
Trying to fly and falling to the ground.

You used to call me an angel, with eyes like the sea,
An angel of confidence, not afraid to be me.
But believing isn't easy when you left me here alone,
Even with all that, I can't make it on my own.

You used to call me an angel, with hands like silk,
An angel of pureness with skin white as milk.
But the innocence faded with your departure of this world,
Now I'm just of no importance, a childish little girl.

You used to call me an angel, with a smile as white as ice,
An angel of perfection with no sins or vice.
But even for an angel, perfection isn't there,
Maybe I'd be perfect if you were still here.

You used to call me an angel, but I know now I'm not,
Don't think I didn't listen, or that I forgot.
But I realized when you disappeared, said your goodbye.
I'm no such thing. Angel's don't fall. They fly.
