What Is Love Meant To Be?

by LethaLfeLinE aka ALDZ   May 29, 2008

I am here cuddling my pillow
Staring so close to the window
Beholding the darkness of the night
Seeking an answer to my plight.

Bombarded with love's mystery
My psyche is perplexed by its obscurity
Its gist seems to be a potpourri
so hard to unravel its scent distinctly.

What is love really meant to be?
So many spoken words yet scanty
To construe a lucid rationalization
That will free my mind from stupefaction.

Is love really coupled with pain
That succumbs anyone else in vain?
Some love but experience misery
Is that the way it used to be?

Oh I loved how you ended with a question because it gets the reader thinking about your work long after they finish reading it. I have been in the same postion alone in my room wondering all this questions about love. What I've learned is not to question love but embrace all its beauty even with the pain. Well done my dear *5/5*

I like how you were asking questions.
Great question in the title. It made me
think myself, "What Is Love Meant To Be?"
This poem was another great one.
