Falling

by Four Letter Lie   May 30, 2008

Falling
With broken wings I start to fall,
I cry out knowing I'm losing it all.
I never thought it would end like this,
Yet falling seems such bliss.

From the sky I'm falling fast,
Memories flood back from the past.
Memories of joy and sorrow,
Of how life seemed so awfully hollow

Only a couple of minutes left,
I can see it now, my own death.
A bloody mess, squished of the ground
Yes, I think, that’s how I want to be found.

A couple more seconds, that's all it takes,
An easy way to reverse all my mistakes.
Five, four, three, two, one,
To my horror I'm caught by someone.

I look up to see who it is,
He's the one person I'd probably miss.
He smiles at me and the world fades away,
Maybe for him I could stay alive another day.
