Nowadays, the world is filled with
lies, and miscommunication.
People fighting over small things
like someone stepping on my shoes,
and I get filled with frustration.
Nowadays, I have to worry about
walking down the right street at
night, and to make sure I look at
the ground.
If I stare at the wrong person,
I might be killed, and my body
might never be found.
Nowadays, there's fear flooding the
television with lost souls, and lost
dreams.
Like everyone is forgetting about
all the good in the world, but just
focusing on mainstream.
Nowadays, our youth is learning
about life from a person they don't
know, but they call them their friend.
Leading into a dark path, where
they don't know their getting close
to their end.
The world is not bad, it just has on
a mask that makes it seems that
way.
I can still see good and beauty the
world has, but the picture is dim
nowadays.
