my soul a melody that has lost its tone
a voice once sweet now no longer speaks
the beat of a love once strong now weak
torn from my heart like a wretched child
locked away in the past, heart-aches
tears and a spirit gone wild
so sad the lyrics of my song
with my soul a melody that has lost its tone
I am the character of my own tormented poems,
I am who I have become a person unknown
A lost soul who walks these grounds
wounded with each step
for here is where I must live earth bound
I pray and I wondered when that light comes to past
If I be blessed with peace & happiness that last
for I been the sad one portrayed in my poems
and I have become the person unknown.
