Greatness!

From a normal family
I'm another normal boy
Had a normal life
With its sadness and joy

In my mind, I see myself
Destined to do a great thing
Written in the pages of history
Benefit to many, it will bring

To be remembered as
The man who did this
Who said the following sentence
Who saved people from the abyss

I'm beginning to have doubts
For I cannot achieve
The vision in my mind
That is what I now believe

So I began to review my life
To see what made me weak and strong
To see which choices
Were right and which were wrong

So I grabbed this paper
And began to fill it with ink
So many thoughts and emotions
I wrote words before I could think

I have the perfect family
And have the best friends
My life companions
On whom I depend

When I'm lost
They're the guidance I seek
They give me strength
When I'm tired and weak

They all know that I'll do the same
Or probably more
To have them in my life
There's nothing else to ask for

The meaning of life
To me became clear
I must keep those people
Close and near

For greatness, is not to have your name
Remembered by many, without knowing the real you
Greatness is to be important
In the lives of a few
