Life Of Me

by David ODonnell   May 30, 2008

A tear in your direction as you rest within my mind
Mislead truths and broken trusts that left me far behind
I sing and dance to all your eyes and rest when you are still
I grow weak from all your questions as your voices make me ill

Loved your life and watched you grow and helped you all the way
Snatched by tongue and broke by stones forever here I stay
A corpse of life and yet still living never to outgrow
The wretched strings that bound me tight and lead me where I go

I feel the life that I once was slowly drifting by
Goodbye my life that I was once, that seldom lonely guy
Embraced In thoughts that cover mind and keep me from my own harm
Left still and quiet left for life untill I raise alarm

    This is so sad.

Your words are perfectly chosen and so visual.
