Wanting

by Kate Hicks   May 30, 2008

Waiting; he sits alone and wonders if she'll see.
Wanting; to sit beside her, where he wants to be.

Seeing; her face deep in his mind just like a dream.
Sighing; he wishes he could see the real scene.

Wandering; he walks alone and wishes she were there.
Wondering; if she'll ever know or even care.

Living; his life alone but wanting to be two.
Loving; the thoughts inside his head, if she just knew.

Looking; at people walking hand in hand in time.
Locking; the image of her deep inside his mind.

Coping; with life alone but wishing it would change.
Hoping; that she will come and take away his pain.

Taking; a look at him, his face is what she sees.
Talking; his voice is soft and gentle to her ears.

Walking; along with him, he takes her hand in his.
Waking; she turns to him and wakes him with a kiss.

Helping; to take him from his sadness, he's her man.
Holding; she takes his heart and loves him all she can.
