Trying to say Goodbye

So things haven't really changed,
I told you how I feel,
You said you were shocked,
As you went with a new girl.
--been there : / sucks but a lot of people will relate to you on this opening

Now things don't feel the same,
I can no longer look at your face,
Its so different,
And so hard to erase.
--i like how you worded this one because its true when you love someone you can't just try and make it into a friendship it would never work

So I lie in bed at night,
Looking at the moon,
Thinking and thinking,
More and more of you.
--i have done that and can say it is no fun at all

I kept telling myself,
More and more each time,
You weren't worth my tears,
Yet they fall helplessly down my eyes.
---this gives a sense of no control like you want to get over him but your heart is not going cooperating

I can't help this feeling,
It feels way too strong,
To keep it bottled up,
And kept inside for so long.
---this makes me wonder what is going to happen since you just kept it all inside

You shattered my one hope,
My hope for you each day,
As I replaced it with a new one,
That my feelings for you decay.
---this is good it shows that your are moving on

You may ask if I still like you,
I will answer this with a lie,
Because deep down inside,
I'm still trying to say goodbye.....
