No Double Entendre

by Curing the Comon Cliche   Jun 1, 2008

No double entendre
I mean what I'm saying
But in spite of lack of meaning
Poetic words I am relaying

Frankly, my dear reader
I don't know what to write
Happy poems no hold virtue
Happiness transcended rhymes

I should leave you with a message
I should make this poem count
No double entendre
That's something you can do without

If I could write something meaningful
Nothing I can do
(Here's the cute happy love part)
Poems don't show how much I love you

No double entendre
I mean what I'm saying
But in spite of lack of meaning
Poetic words I am relaying

double entendre- entendre is french for the verb hear

a double entendre is a word or phrase that can be taken or read two different ways
