Bandersnatch

by Armada the Gestalt   Jun 1, 2008

One day upon a spritely morn,
A young lad sat looking forlorn,
The sun did shine, the wind was fine,
But his mind was torn.

O'er yonder hill a lass,
Sat picking daises on the grass,
Her hair was gold, a shade untold,
A curly golden mass.

Hanging from a monkey tree,
Were creatures that counted three,
Their claws were knives, In twos and fives,
With silver teeth in glee.

Beside the lad there sat a dog,
Who's snout and teeth were like a hog,
With shaggy fur, all filled with burrs,
He slept just like a log.

On the hill the girl was sat,
She'd picked herself a daisy mat,
She began to weave, then turned to leave,
As came a creature fat,

The threesome were a mismatched bunch,
Two had spines another hunch,
They all had claws, and dripping jaws,
On girls they liked to munch.

The girl she walked but did not run,
For then they'd chase her for the fun,
She went inside, but didn't hide,
Instead she grabbed a gun.

The lad did see his sister come,
He heard her very calmly hum,
A battle chant, that would surely grant,
A spell to make pain numb.

The dog however ceased to snore,
And so it turned he WAS a boar,
With piggy eyes, in a dog disguise,
He squealed towards the door.

The foremost creature stumbled in,
All tooth and claw and scale and fin,
With ember orbs, the mind absorbed,
It searched 'round with it's kin.

And so upon the lad one found,
With scalene tail it thumped the ground,
It ate his head, and left him dead,
The floor it's tail did pound.

The girl cocked her gun and aimed a shot,
But against all odds she had forgot,
No bullets fired, the beasts desired,
To swallow down the lot,

And so the creatures left the home,
The beasts written within mosts tomes,
Beware and do not stray the path,
Where the Jabberwocks do roam.

((This is over a year and a half old. Backlog much. To the tune ofJabberwocky more or less.))
