That's just the way it is

That's the way it goes,
Hope is just in dreams,
happiness out of reach,
or that is how it seems,

For me it's like I'm nothing,
ignored each day that I breathe,
By everyone I thought loved me,
all just a lie, its what I believe,

I tried so hard to forgive,
for a while I thought I could,
But now I'm a fading memory,
I don't see why I should,

I won't stand for it anymore,
and I'm better off on my own,
Cursed from birth to be unloved,
destined for a life all alone,

I thought someone really cared,
how I feel deep down inside,
But I was just a fool to them,
now I'll run away and hide,

I don't want to be forgotten,
I can't take it anymore,
Until I'm free and happy,
I'll lay crying on the floor....
