I'm the leader of this delinquent pack
Sometimes in front or I'll lead from the back
Often we'll ride or drink together
I hear they say we'll be brothers forever
Sometimes they'll drive me quite round the bend
But never you mind, we'll be friends to the end
And if someone gives you one helluva fright
That's when the rest of us stand up to fight
You're my brother, but not by birth
But yet I'll always try to protect you first
When I'm high on a hill overlooking a valley
What a good feeling with you there next to me
People look at us and can't understand
What we see in our happy band
They stand there and frown but cannot relate
Why we've slung together our united fate
I'm always there to lend you my ear
I may even have to machine you a gear
And at times I'll also need a helping hand
And I'm thankful to my brothers, of our happy band
We're not many, we're only a few
But very particular who rides with our crew
The bikes we ride are not very fast
And mainly they seem to be blasts from the past
But quite honestly I could really care less
That I don't seem to own or ride the best
For the quality of the trip is the company I keep
And I thank you my brothers for riding with me
I'm proud to ride with and lead the pack
Even if I'm bringing up the back
Feelings of fondness come in a flood
When I'm thinking of you, my
Brothers By Blood
A very good poem. I like it.
It's true how some people can drive you around the bend, but how you will always be friends. It is so true about family too. Some in a family are like that too.
