Poverty

by michelle   Jun 2, 2008

Her eyes are cold and empty
No smile on her lips
She looks all lost and lonely
Heart broken in tiny bits

She spends her life on the streets
Begging for her dinner
Night falls as she sits there
Her life-line growing dimmer

She has resigned her life to nothing
No-one can touch her now
But deep in her heart lies a dream
A village somewhere south

Nice job on this, enjoyed reading it! I liked how you described her and the poverty she was in. :( Keep writing, and good work!
