The path

by deeplydesturbed   Jun 2, 2008

Darkened rooms, silent and asleep,
On the walls, shaddows do creep.
Moonlight peaking through the drapes,
creating weaving and twisting shapes.
But I'm not there,
Ive run away somewhere.
In a mysterious, chilled breeze,
Dance enchanted, ancient trees.
Down the darkened path I search for hope,
Down the darkened path I cry and lope.
Angels in the darkness have come to greet me,
Beautiful faces in the darkness I see.
They fade away, to nothing at all,
I run to catch them, but then I fall.
Watching stars shine in the sky
On the gloaming road I helplessly lie.
Down the darkened path I find tragedy
Down the darkened path I sing a melody.
I'm back in a darkened room, silent and asleep,
Where on the walls, shaddows creep.
