Confused

Confused?

Bang! Like a nail-gun through wood
Spare him the pain if you could
Slash and thump
Roll and end in an amplified bump

Characteristics of a horror movie
But no it's the war between heart and head
The confusion between
Thinking... breathing

And ultimately living
Under the thousand blankets of emotion
I am short of breath
So far from living and so close to death

Hospitalized by my mind
And encaged by my heart
I fall inferior to myself
A slave to feeling

Tear filled eyes
As eyeliners say their goodbyes
Being washed away by the tears
Clown like mirage after the flood

Just to wake up
And feel better
As if you were never a slave
As if you really are.. safe?

I love the way this starts out, and how the perspective is all within your head -cool poem!
