If You Want Me To (Song)

My interpretation of Michell Branch's song (All You Wanted)

Song ....

If You Want Me To ....

Heart so distant, eyes are so cold
seems your thoughts are frozen in time
thought I could forget [forget my problems]
to be just like you, wash them away
but that scene was not for me

Loneliness overcame me [so cold]
drowning in my tears [swept away]
craving sunlight, wanting comfort
then I knew what I had to do
had to ... take you with me

Heart so distant
eyes are so cold
seems your thoughts
are frozen in time
I will hold your hand
I can be your friend
just open the door
and [let me in]
please [let me in]

I'm running out of time [you are falling]
excuses trapped in your words
denial has an ugly face, why can't you see
you've left no space for love [to live in your heart]
drowning your pain in liquid lies

There is no [easy way out]
I can be your inner voice, if you let me
your eyes are searching [for someone to care]
take my hand, hold it tightly
I will never let go [never let you fall]

Heart so distant
eyes are so cold
seems your thoughts
are frozen in time
I will hold your hand
I can be your friend
just open the door
and [let me in]
please [let me in]

It's a lonely world, dying on the inside
the rain never seems to stop [beating]
but you can find happiness if you want to
I can find you [in that place that you're gone]
if you want me to [you know I'll be there]

There is no [easy way out]
I can be your inner voice, if you let me
your eyes are searching [for someone to care]
take my hand, hold it tightly
I will never let go [never let you fall]
