Tears

by Grant Gilbert AKA Slash   Jun 3, 2008

Tears

As it plummets towards the earth
Perfect in every way
Falling, falling, separated from its glistening trail
An ultimate expression of joy
And an absolute expression of despair
And sometimes just pure self-indulgence
With the ability to magnify our windows to the world
Pure and unscathed by human hands
Beautiful, magnificent the perfect form
Inspiration too many men
Its short lived flight ending in its utter destruction upon the earth

    Grant, my amazing friend,
The simply astounding concepts you choose to so eloquently express yourself through leave me feeling not only have I had a guided tour through your mind and soul, but I have had the privilege to follow the path that leads to the treasures of your heart .

The concepts with which you choose to write from is what makes me aware of your great poetic ability.
I believe concept to be the foundation for emotions to flow, because perception is to cause like emotions is to effect :-- such as from the final stanza from a poem--- Shades of blue.

As I journey through the spectrum of life I now find,
It’s color more beautiful by the light from within.
A concept that reaches beyond my mind ,
to ignore it would be an emotional sin.

With most all you write You continually allow me to become once again emotionally cleansed through the enlightened concepts from which you write. I will never again look at a tear the same .
Thank you for simply being you and giving us readers your all in verse
    YOUR FRIEND, YOUR ADMIRER JIM
