War Wondrous

by Kik   Jun 3, 2008

The President says it will all be okay,
I go back home next December,
It is only May,
Looking for these invisible weapons,
Said to be capable of mass destruction,
We clearly can't find them,
Bush sticks to the idea with suction,
For now I pray for my platoon,
So we can all stay alive,
My comrades being picked apart one by one,
Stick to myself and praise my gun,
Forget about my family,
Forget about my son,
I'm a different person now,
Experiences making my attitude foul,
I'll go back home and divorce my wife,
Who cares about my family anymore anyway?,
I want a different life,
I want none of now to stay,
But who is to say,
That I will live past today,
Stuck in the desert,
To serve an unknown cause,
Where there is no structures,
And no laws,
Constantly trying to kill,
I don't even know how to feel,
At night I go to my tent and kneel,
Wondrous if I have enough will...
