Letting Go

by claire   Jun 4, 2008

I sort of want to sit here
Build a nice warm safe cocoon
Live where no one can touch me
In the ark that survives the monsoon

I'm feeling lonely and self-riteous
Angry, defiant, and unsure
So mad, I wouldn't go back
Even though I miss the way things were

So here I go, just like you predicted
Up and out, I'm taking off
Yes, I think I deserve better
But I'm not the one who likes to stick my nose up and scoff

**not sure about the last bit - any suggestions?
