What a Friend's Love Can Do

by Kayla   Jun 4, 2008

She sits by her window quietly,
Watching the day turn into night.
Wiping blood from a sharpened knife,
She no longer feels the need to fight.

She has lost all she cares about,
Except for one loving, close friend.
No matter how hard she tries,
She just wishes it all would end.

The outcast of her entire school,
She feels like she doesn't belong.
Because she blinks away the tears,
Everyone else sees her as strong.

Nothing seems to matter anymore,
She's tired of living her life as a lie.
She can no longer deny the fact,
That she wants nothing but to die.

And so she plans out her suicide,
Finally prepared for it all to end.
But she opens her eyes to see the rope cut,
And sitting beside her was her one true friend.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
I wrote this poem for all of those loving people out there who has someone dear to them on the break of suicide. Just remember to always be there for them and in the end, surely everything will be alright. Anything is possible with love.
