The Story of Giving Up

Once upon a time, there's this lonely girl
Who is walkin' down the street, and is watching the birds.
For whenever she see them flyin' in the sky,
she can feel their freedom, their happiness, their life.

So the girl keep on walking down the street.
Following the birds that are still at ease.
And because she is not lookin' on her way.
She bumped to somebody and say "HEY!"

The girl was shocked for it was unexpected,
to see a man who filled what she wanted.
Those powerful eyes that is starin' at her,
makes her heart beat the way it have'nt, ever.

The man hold her hands and say "I'm sorry".
The girl did'nt say any, she just smiled for she knew she's lucky.
And the most unexpected that she had done
is when she get the number of that one.

Though the man was amused by what the girl acted.
He still gave his digits, for she don't want the girl to be rejected.
The girl walked again and leave a smile to the guy.
Whom she knew'll be a friend some other time.

That night when she's already at home.
She dropped a message to the guy by saying "Hello".
Ofcourse the guy did replied through text
For he thought it was the girl whom he called as "ex".

But then he's wrong when the texter says "It's me,
The girl you bumped in down the street".
He did replied again, with lots of amusement.
But then he recovered, and they became friends.

Day and night, they never stop communicating.
The girl keep on texting, the guy keep on calling.
If you're not a friend and you don't know them,
you might think they're in a relationship since then.

One month of their special friendship is getting near.
The girl is planning a surprise for her only dear.
It was funny that for a very short time of their friendship.
She makes the guy knew that she's lookin' forward to their relationship.

But to her surprise the guy suddenly changed.
the night after she did her last stare.
She remembered they were talking on the telephone,
and the guy said, "If you're not that young",then he moan.

She thought all of their conversation is one step,
for the fullfillment of her wishes that makes her last to be slept.
But sadly, she is very, very wrong,
when the guy keep distance, and never get along.

It was so sad for she is hoping that she'll be happy
to have someone like him whom she treasured like nobody.
She still tried to communicate to the guy,
but the guy never answer her calls, did'nt even replied.

She was so depressed to the point that she wants to die.
She keeps on thinking, can't sleep at night, she just cry.
I thought she'd never be like before again,
but one day I saw her walkin', the way she was, before "the game".

I wanted to go near her when she sat on the bench
but I chose to be standing beside the tree, holding my lense.
Suddenly, I saw her writing something on a piece of paper
while looking at the birds, maybe it makes her feel better.

She stand and do walked again.
I tried to reach her with all that I can.
But she walks so fast, like she's running for something.
I didn't reach her, but I saw the paper she had written.

I picked the paper and bring it with me.
Hoping to know what makes her heart bleed.
I read what the paper has..
and I was touched, yes, I was...

The paper says, "Like the birds in the sky,
Like the happiness they have inside,
Like the freedom he needs,
for I am never whom he'll like."
