The overdose of love.

by Thepainwithinme   Jun 4, 2008

As I watch you fall to the ground,
I wonder what it would be like if you were not around,
I catch you with every fault you make,
Knowing that our love could be at stake.

I hold you closer than ever before,
Because last time you ran for the door,
I have never been happier than when I am with you,
And if you left again I wouldn't know what to do.

I fought so hard just to make you think of me,
It took a lifetime to get you to see,
That I can be the reason you smile,
If you just sit and stay a while.

I love it when you kiss me the way you do,
No one makes me feel the way you do,
The feeling of your warm embrace,
Makes my heart start to race.

I love it when you hold me tight,
Because we both know that it's right,
So, tell me you love me like you did before,
Before I left my heart at your door.

Kiss me so my heart will beat again,
Don't tear it apart, don't say this is the end.
What I've said is nothing but true,
Nobody will love you like I do.

    I love this stanza.
    I love this entire poem.
the end could use a little fixing up, but amazing none the less.
