Black

by Lauren Waszkiewicz   Jun 4, 2008

[Color poem for English class]

The darkness in your sullen eyes.
The resentment in your outright lies.
The color of the starless night.
The feeling of fear at putrid death's sight.
The empty place your heart should be.
The evil that only you can see.
The blissful kiss of death's control.
The darkened void of your hating soul.
Black is the color that's taken over your mind.
Black has replaced the joy you left behind.

A very unique piece that interested me right away and in a new creative take, told of the color black. When I read this aloud, automatically I found flow to be flawless and the length to be just the right amount. You have a strong writing talent that I know will never be wasted, keep it up.

    God bless you always!
