Oh, Withering Flower

by CalGirl   Jun 5, 2008

Oh, withering flower,
I've seen you so
much more beautiful in old days.

Oh, withering flower,
you've changed so much,
changed in so many ways.

Oh, withering flower,
I remember back
when you would bloom and smile.

Oh, withering flower,
but I guess those days
won't come for another while.

Oh, withering flower,
I see your pain,
the grief buried in your eyes.

Oh, withering flower,
don't give up hope,
encumbered with all these lies.

Oh, withering flower,
we're waiting for you,
we've all got your back.

Oh, withering flower,
one thing's for sure,
friends, you won't ever lack.

**This one is dedicated to James... James, if you read this, remember we all care for you, and we're waiting for you...
don't be the pained withering flower... Be the flower that you are, the flower that blooms and smiles. =)**

Flowers that wither often come back. Just winter takes them away, but in the spring they come back twice as beautiful. I honestly believe James is going to come home to us. We need him and I think that God will give him back to us...or at least I pray so. This poem was wonderful, Sophie, he'll love it when he reads it. <3
