Creepy alarm beeps at two, Not morning but noon. Drowsy eyes, messy hair I lay. Roll on, for my day has begun. Little munch on Brunch. Curse the job as always. Aroma of coffee, To match the sunset, Alas! I have to rise. Neaty natty I wait, Cab arrives, drive towards, The hell doors once more. Night life has just begun, For teens, early twenties, Pulling pranks, Plastic smiles. I sit numb near the window, My eyes guiding the heart, City streets. Unfortunate! Moving in narrow lanes, kids fight over garbage, Begging alms, selling flowers. Why so many have so much? Some have so little. City streets Fortunate! Eyes stick to the screen, Ten fingers flying on keyboard. Mind tired, cease to work. Aroma of coffee again, Filled the senses, Close my eyes with sip. Strong pictures, Messy kids like no future, Ultra teens confused as ever. Clock ticked five, Again by the window, I notice Men back to work, Paper boys, Little stalls. I drove back home, My day ended Racing life against time.
