Where are the wishes I wanted to come true
where is the love I once felt
where is the friendship I had with you
why are the bad times being dealt.

Where have the smiles gone today
where are the blue Sky's above
Why have peoples faces gone away
because their faces have been drained of love

Why are the times a-changing
where have all the memories gone
why are we always blaming
never getting worn

when will it be our turn to shine
when will our glory come
to show the world it is mine
and I am under its controlling thumb.
