The Broken Door

by Zak   Jun 6, 2008

I didn't know that he could die,
Nor did I me or you,
I never thought to say goodbye.

I saw it with a teary eye,
Just like a leaf's lost dew.
I didn't know that he could die.

In seconds I was left to cry,
My madness now to brew.
I never thought to say goodbye.

Without chance of knowing why,
No time to think it through.
I didn't know that he could die.

My safety now exposed as lie,
A new nightmare born true.
I never thought to say goodbye.

And so in pain I still reside,
In darkness I am forced to hide.
For things still eat me up inside,
And it still burns to know he died.
