Promise me Tomorrow

by StandStill   Jun 6, 2008

Too many things I need to do,
overwhelmed by reasons to live.
I'm quite sure that that was the point of this,
but there are still other reasons to give.

Will anybody miss me when that day comes?
Would there be a prade like we all joke?
Maybe it's cheesey, but I want memory.
I want to be remembered after I choke.

I want to still be called an angel,
even though I keep falling far down.
Darling, I'm sure I don't want to swim in the sea,
but I'm afraid in these fear's I've already drown.

Did you ever see it coming?
Or were you too darn far away?
You promise me a tomorrow,
but so many promises turn to ash of grey.

Empty, tired liars,
I just need a reason to live.
So, darling, promise me tomorrow,
and promise me to forgive.
