At the End of the Day

I walk through life
My head bowed low
I have fun at school
With people I know,
But I'm still lonely...

I catch the bus
Right to the school
I try to act tough
But I'm not cool,
And I'm a loner...

I'm always surrounded
By a crowd of friends
But that is where
All happiness ends,
I'm all alone...

At the end of the day,
The smile does fade
Though, it was always fake
My heart, you'd take,
Because I'm alone...

At the end of the day,
I wonder how,
How could we ever
Be together?
You're not alone...

You've got her
And I've got me...
I've got no one
Who would try to see
Why I'm alone...

At the end of the day,
My life fades away,
My blood drains dry,
I could've tried
To not be alone...
