Let The Pieces Fall Where They May.

by Courageous Dreamer   Jun 7, 2008

A few months ago I was lost,
I wasn't positive about anything,
Things just didn't make sense,
All I wanted to do was let go.

But, then I realized one thing,
That would change my views on everything.
I noticed that the feelings I've had for you,
Will never dissolve and will always be with me.

I found out that whatever happens between us,
Is going to happen for a reason.
Whatever happens I won't be able to change,
It's supposed to be meant to happen that way.

Knowing that makes me so much happier,
Because now I know, I can continue to hold on.
Maybe this will all end in me getting hurt,
But at least if I try, I'll feel better than I have recently.

I know that whatever your decision is,
Is what you believe is best for not only you, but me.
I don't care if you like me, or you don't,
I'm going to understand completely.

I'm starting to put everything together.
It feels like I'm solving a puzzle thats taken me three years,
But now, I know how I feel about you,
And, I know.. That no matter what..
Nothing is going to change my feelings for you.

Until I know how you feel about me,
I'm going to have to deal with how things come and go,
All I know is that,
I just need to stay strong and let the pieces fall where they may.

I really liked this. You've described perfectly everything that I felt before I told the guy who I love, how I felt about him. Waiting is never fun, but sometimes you just have to. And, of course, there is always the chance that you've been waiting for no reason because in the end, the other person doesn't feel the same way. Overall; this piece is beautifully written, and amazingly honest about everything. I loved it.

Take the second is out it would make sense as...
I know that whatever your decision is,
What you believe is best for not only you, but me.

I was thinking of the love is a puzzle contest and kept thinking, okay where's the line, it's here somewhere, but it wasn't. Some of the ending lines seemed similar to the love puzzle title.

I liked this poem. It was refreshing like a face mask or taking off your socks on a really hot day, lol. It was exhaling knowing everything is going to be okay. I'll give it a high four, but I can't, so it's a five.
