Scars

by Tyler Durden   Jun 7, 2008

Everyone has always told me to forget everything.
they say forget the past,
you wont need it in the future.
but they're wrong.

When I look at myself,
in the mirror,
or from someone else's view,
I feel sick.

My body is covered in scars,
scars that remind me,
that the past is real.
but the scars remind me,
that I'm still here.

I have hit rock bottom.
But here I am.
I bled to death,
and then cried to heaven.
But my hearts still beating.

The scars remind me yes.
They remind me of the past.
But I'm proud of them,
in a twisted way.

I'm proud to say,
I made it through that.
I hit bottom, and paid dearly.

But look at me now.
I wouldn't trade one of them.
They made me who I am.
They are a part of me.
they are who I am.
