Home Again

by H E Losey   Jun 8, 2008

You never can go home again
That's what the adage tells
You never can go home again
No matter how the heartache swells

But memories will never die
Of friends and places past
But memories will never die
So long as true loves last

My memories oft take me there
To the home for which I yearn
My memories oft take me there
To this place I will return

My memories oft take me there

    Do you mean often?

Ooo you repeated it again. I suppose that's just the way it is being said? Whatever works. :)

Great poem. I love it. I love how you used repetitions in select lines. It made the flow of the poem work and just made the poem great. Great job, five out of five.

Another great poem, your words truly touch me! I liked how you repeated the first line again in the third, nice job! :)
