Listening to the Oldies, Getting past Memories

I’m stuck in the past, even though I know it won’t last
I’m listening to the oldies, getting past memories
Memories rush through my mind, like an endless gust of wind
Remembering your face, and how you left without a trace
Counting the endless tears, falling throughout the years
You were the one I loved, the first one I kissed
Now you are gone, and I am left alone
The place I once called home, is now a sitting stone
I can’t forget the good times, when you were really mine
I can’t just turn away, when my love for you is in my way

I’m listening to the oldies, getting past memories
You once said hold me, you once cried don’t leave
And I did what you said, just so you’d never feel sad
But you’re the one who left me, you’re the one who decided to leave
I never did let go, you were the one who let go
I never cried for you to stay, so your heart just ran away
I never said a lie, ‘cause I knew it would make you cry
I never got to say good-bye, now you make me wonder why
I was always there, I was always fare
But you never really did care

I was once your clown, when ever you were down
Our lives were fantastic, we both it magic
Our lives were classic, but burnt like plastic
Now I’m listening to the oldies, getting past memories
Of our once classic story, now left as a broken history
