Human Angel

by David ODonnell   Jun 8, 2008

Today I held her hand so tight and never let it go
I knew that she was shy but happy, her face began to glow
I made her laugh and made her happy if only for awhile
It means alot to me to see her, especially her smile

And when she left I felt quite sad
But in awhile I felt quite glad
That she didnt see me so upset
Tears on my sleeve as it gets wet

I lay in bed and think of her
As my sight begins to blur
I fall asleep and start to dream
It isnt bad as it might seem

Shes laying in a bed of flowers
I could watch her for hours and hours
A gentle petal covers her lips
From her neck down to her hips

She lays in bed and smiles at me
As she rests so peacefully
But time will stop and dreams will end
As my journey starts to decend

I wake up cold and feeling why
Look out my window and start to cry
It wasnt ment to be this way
But then I think... someday

I bet the Human Angel cried too.... did her hands fit naturally into yours as yours did for her?
