UNKNOWN WHISPERS

by Michael Verterel   Jun 8, 2008

Unknown whispers

The room is silent.
The child is sitting alone.
Coldness fills the room.
Chills flow throughout the emptiness.

Voices begin whispering.
An unknown shadow passes,
in the view of the darkness.
A strange smell falls over,
the once beautiful fragrance.

The child is singing a child’s melody,
“twinkle twinkle little star.”
The whispering voices,
sing along to it.
The chill begins to evaporate,
causing the coldness to warm the room.

There then begins to shine a light.
An angels wings begins to flutter.
The whisper was of no unknown.
It was the whisper of his mother,
she was still there for him.
