As I sit here today my thoughts take me on a journey.......
....from my first memory, to the delights you share with me today
Years of experiencing life and its choices; to one day of importance........
....the day you came into my life - a day that stands out above all others.
This day began in similarity with the mundaneness of many others
However, I shall never forget February 20th as it was then my life really began
With suddenness; the sun broke through heavy clouds and my eyes met yours
You smiled at me and I felt myself drawn to your emerald-green eyes.
Now I understand why a new flower surges towards the sunlight.......
....why it needs the light of the sun to nurture and burst forth into its final colouring
I knew that life had left me marking time; waiting for the right moment to arrive -
Orchid Lady as you held out your hand I became captive to your beauty.
Since that day every moment spent with you takes me on a wonderful journey
Together we live through times containing those of unforseen sadness; but so do other people
Days when we must part for awhile only to be reunited again.......
.....then loneliness loses all meaning and the arms of love bring back our happiness.
Today we live through our senior years yet love never recognizes age, only its want
I need you beside me as urgently today as I did when you first captured my heart
Before my love for you would ever lose its freshness; the earth would have to stop revolving
Should this ever happen; I have a confession to make - my love would still be yours alone.
