Unseen

Do you see him?
Sure he's the most popular guy in school
Everyone knows his name
And that Football is his game
But do you really see him?
Do you know that all night he cries
As his father continues the lies
And all night his parents fight
And he makes the cuts on his thighs
Yeah he's popular
But he remains unseen.

Do you see her?
Yeah you all make fun of her
She's not thin as a toothpick
Or pretty as a model
So you ridicule her day in and day out
But do you really see her?
Do you know that when she gets home
She goes straight to her room
Opens that bottle of Vodka
And drinks her pain away
Her mother pops more pills
As her father beats and rapes her
No one sees her scars or bruises
And no one knows how she wishes she were dead
She looks at that razor every night
Thinking no one cares
Yeah you all know of her
But she remains unseen
