Visits From the Past

There's so much to tell you,
I don't know what to say.
We haven't talked since December,
So why wait until May?

You broke my heart to pieces,
Just suddenly left one day.
Now you've shown back up,
Pretending every thing's okay.

I keep fighting with myself,
Trying not to go back to you.
Haven't really decided yet,
If your words were ever true.

So many mixed emotions,
Can't figure out what's right.
I long to escape this darkness,
Find my way to the shining light.

I wonder what made you change,
To finally talk to me now.
I wonder if I'll change too,
If your coming back I'll allow.

I still don't know what to say,
I honestly thought we could last.
Just give me time, I'm so confused,
After these little visits from the past.
