The Choice Is Yours

by Michael D Nalley   Jun 9, 2008

I have played with fire and have been burned
The pain is a large part of the lesson learned
I have chosen to be as worthless as the trash
That I would love to see rise from the ash

The Lord is merciful and divinely kind
He heals the sick, the weak, and, the blind
You may pretend forever, the choice is yours,
A disease doesn't exist without man made cures

Yet truth has a way of lighting the right path
Leading to the salvation of escaping the wrath
Of addictions, and the other senseless self harms
To lead you on the straight road to loving arms

We may always choose to accept or reject
The great heavenly power that will protect
Us from all the evil chemical fatal allures
Balance, or imbalance the choice is yours
