Memories of my walk

by Orchid Man   Jun 9, 2008

On my walk today I found myself standing on our wooden bridge
This bridge brings back to me wonderful memories of my lady
The cool stream that flows underneath called out its happy greeting.......
....it seemed to ask me where my Orchid Lady was.

A broad smile crept upon my face as my thoughts turned to you
Once more I looked down into the moving water and looked for your face
I searched for your reflection to arise and stand beside me.......
....sweetheart, were you here you would bring such happiness into my day.

As I stood there the sun placed a golden sparkle upon the water
It reminded me of the wonderful gold colouring of your beautiful hair.......
....hair that sits upon your shoulders as golden as a Heavenly halo.......
....hair that brushes my lips like the softness of finest golden silk from the east.

The last time we stood here together it was as though nature came to see us
Birds sat on the bridge rails unafraid; as white doves sang their melodies
You stood close to me and I felt the softness of your body as it touched my own
Orchid Lady, there is a magic that lives within you and I know how blessed I am.

How I wish to stand here with your thoughts but the dark of the evening is approaching
My heart and my wish is to hurry home to be with you and in familiar surroundings
No matter where my walks take me to, one thing I want you to always remember.......
....wherever my wanderings take me - you are always walking beside me.

Our bridge is so special
