Heaven My Friend

by David ODonnell   Jun 10, 2008

Left here in reason, bounded by time
Lost in the seasons of hope and devine
Dark empty chambers that hold up the sun
Mist filled surroundings that had come undone

I walked in gardens, so full of grace
I held the flowers, that had grown in days
No need in wanting, no need at all
One child had spoken, or so we recall

It's never gonna change
It's never gonna be the same
It's never been this way before untill we broken down the door

It never went the way we want
It never stays the way we planned
It never made it any better and we still don't understand that

I felt the need to break the walls of my perception
If they should all fall down
Would you forgive me, Heaven my friend?
