Falling in on Herself

by RetroRavey   Jun 10, 2008

She falls in on herself...
Tearing into the broken pieces
of everything that lay within her.
She tried to tell you,
tried to tell you everything
that you wanted to hear,
but you wouldn't listen
to her tormented cries...
You never wanted to hear her tell you
that she was sorry
or that she loved you...
You never wanted her to smile up at you,
or whisper into your ear...
She falls in on herself...
Nothing ever tasted better
than her thoughts upon her lips,
erasing the memory of your kiss...
Nothing ever tasted sweeter
than the berry of the wine.
She tried,
but you didn't care.
She wanted you,
and you wanted nothing to do with her...
She falls in on herself...

Falling for you...
