Just Ask

I give my heart to you,
because it's all I have to give,
these days.
I'd give you the world if I could though,
the moon and the stars.,
would be in your palms.
The oceans,
the forests,
would be right outside your window,
if I could give you anything.
I'd dig up every last piece of gold,
& ruby or diamond,
if there were any left to find.
I would go to Africa,
just to bring you back an exotic, beautiful flower,
thats just as pretty,
as you make me feel.
I'd crawl to the moon if you wanted-
just to pick you up a moon rock,
& take back as much as my pockets,
could hold.
If only you asked me,
I'd do it all...
But the best I can do for now,
is just give you,
my bubble gum and scotch taped heart,
hoping it'll be enough for you,
'cause it's all I've got to give,
these days.
