    Kay
What a beautiful poem of love you have penned. The imagery is awesome.

    When summer sun bids goodnight
Winged creatures have ceased in flight
    Stars reflected in placid lakes
No longer dance in mallards wakes

The picture your words paint for the mind make me feel as if I'm seeing all this right in front of me.

When rapids tire of rushing race
    Carvings weathered from stones face
Etched for Eternity two souls together
My love for you ...sincerely, forever

I loved the entire piece Kay. This is a forever love you write about. Gives such a feeling of peace. Just want to stay and relish in the feeling.
    Excellent!

It is indeed a very well-written poem... The serene ambiance, coupled with aesthetic imageries of the natural world and interminable devotion of lovers, engages the reader in an ethereal realm rooting only in the Mind's Eye. A pleasure to read, nonetheless!

Beautiful Love Poem DD. The words just roll off the tongue, of course I've read it over and over to soak the Poem in. That last stanza is awe inspiring

When rapids tire of rushing race
    Carvings weathered from stones face
Etched for Eternity two souls together
    My love for you...sincerely forever

A fast moving young couple, who have grown together over many years, older and wrinkled now, dedicated to each other for an Eternity.
    A wonderful metaphor.
    Peace and Blessings

    Very nice....and truly, quite romantic...

reminds me of the lyrics a terrific vintage song:

"...In time the rockies may crumble,
    Gibralter may tumble,
they're only made of clay but,
our love is here to stay..."
