Seasons (You)

by rrrrrrr   Jun 10, 2008

You're as bright as heaven when lightning pierces the skies,
You're that feeling of confidence behind those rainy eyes,
Shaking the ground beneath your soft, quiet feet,
Listening to the thunder and hearts as they beat

You're like the sun on a hot day, glowing with smiles,
You're the bird perched on that branch, singing sweet tunes for awhile,
You're that buzz of the new day, covered with dew,
You're the wake of the morning, ever so true

You're that fresh layer of snow that covers my lawn,
You're the exciting rink of ice to which I'm drawn,
You're the warm sip of hot chocolate after the nail-biting cold,
You're that one Christmas carol that will never get old

You're the crisp Autumn air when I step outside,
You're that sturdy oak tree radiating with pride,
You're the fall of the leaves on the cool, damp ground,
You're the changing of colors without making a sound

You're the only one who believes me when I'm misunderstood,
You're my hope and my wishes for all things good,
You're my number one and my only reason,
You're here with me, no matter what the season
