A World Without Color

by Anaisthitos   Jun 11, 2008

Roses are red
Grass is green
color's essantial
color is keen

love is great
hope is strong
feelings are feelings
no feelings are wrong

the sky is blue
clouds are white
colors and feelings
are oh so alike

i grew up without color
I was raised to ignore
the intricate shades
of waves on the shore

my eyes were trained
to see in black and white
and with that the same
applied to my mind

my world without color
was like a world without meaning
a world without love
a whole world without feelings

and i never knew
because I never saw
the shades and emotions
to be safe from the flaws

but I found a friend
who helped me to see
a world WITH color
and feelings so deep.
