While You Were Sleeping

by Paralyzed   Jun 11, 2008

I saw no eyes,
No boyish grin,
Just innocence,
In sleep,

It made me drift,
Into the past,
Before,
We came to weep.

Tied here by,
This strangled love,
We fear,
To walk away,

Though sorrow eats,
Our desperate hearts,
We stay,
Just one more day.

In these moments,
As you slumber,
You are,
Who I once knew,

But in the waking world,
My love,
I know,
That we are through.

I'll memorize,
Your sleeping face,
The one of love,
I know,

Gone before you wake,
Sweet dreams,
I have to,
Let you go.

The formation of this poem is very well put together it's almost as like there's broken spaces in spots, which makes it feel and looke weird but youmake it work with your words and vocab. ;)
