If I knew

by Lemon Square Bear23   Jun 11, 2008

If I knew it would be the last time
Id see you walk out the door,
I would give you a kiss
then call you back for some more.

If I knew it'd be the last time
Id hear your sweet singing voice
Id videotape every action and word
so I can listen to every sweet noise

If I knew it'd be the last time
I would share your day instead of thinking
'we'll I'm sure we'll have many more.'
I would have spent more without even blinking.

If I knew it was the last time
I would have spared an extra minute
to say 'I Love you'
instead of assuming you know, I do.

But because I'm always wrong
and today is all I get
Id like to say how much I love you
and hope you NEVER forget

So if you're waiting for tomorrow
why not today?
For what if tomorrow never comes
you'll surely never regret this day.

I wrote this in honor of my friend...
Happy Birthday Chase
