Two Months With A Pirate

by Until Again   Jun 11, 2008

You!
Delving deep down inside
Here at the ebb of my tide
You!

Found a precious lost treasure
'Twas my love without measure
Me!

Bright and so beautiful
Hoping and wonderful
Joy!

I basked in the happiness
Feelings I'd so long missed
You!

Thief! Scoundrel!
You've stolen my heart
I thought I could trust you
Then you tore me apart

You!
You came then to plunder me
My God how this tortures me
You!

Sailed off, happy on your own
You've left me back all alone
Me!

Wish I'd known what you meant to do
Now I know what I meant to you
Pain!

Should have stayed under lock and key
Booty call is all you could see
You!

    An entertaining, well enjoyed read.
Interesting write using a unique style and a good rhyme patern. A wee bit off on the metre but not to the point of disrupting the read so......
I was so serious as I read and then your last stanza gave me a chuckle, I know it probably was meant to be serious but my mind wanders.
